Designed by Konstantin Grcic, 2005
The Plank collection is the fruit of intense research, where an innovative approach to form as well as technology underpins its design philosophy. Relations and close collaboration with designers are a key feature of Plank's method, where frequent meetings and dialogue lead to the identification of a final product.
The Miura stool is strongly based on principles of construction. However, its shape was conceived by working in a much more sculptural manner. The complex free-form surfaces were all designed on the computer.
Miura is part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
