The iconic Knotted Chair is a brilliant adult interpretation of the tiny chairs used to decorate a doll’s house, a visionary creation by designer Marcel Wanders. This project has been officially consecrated by earning a place in the permanent collections of the MoMA in New York, the V&A Museum in London and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.

By eliminating the distinction between artisanship and industrial production, Wanders has turned this chair into work of art to be cherished in the home and integrated into our daily lives.

The macramé technique that inspired the design of the Knotted Chair has been revisited in a surprising structure made of carbon covered with aramide fibre cord and then coated with epoxy resin. Thus, an innovative object was born, with an intrinsically romantic allure: a collector’s piece, utterly unique in the history of international design.

Conditions & Exceptions

Sale and clearance prices offered by competitors do not qualify. Shipping, handling, currency conversion, or any other cost factors are considered to be part of the price, not just the base price or sticker price of the product. Some manufacturers specify the retail prices of their products. In such cases, we can do no better than match the prices of our competitors, as dictated by the manufacturer.


Policies

Purchased items are available for pickup, local delivery, or shipping. Upon completing your purchase, you will have the option to select Local Pickup or Shipping at checkout.

All orders over $100 that are considered a small or medium parcel will receive free domestic shipping. This condition may not apply to sale items.

Clients who select the ‘Local Pickup’ option will be contacted within 2 business days with confirmation of when and where their items will be available for pickup.

Clients who select the ‘Shipping’ option will be contacted within 2 business days to coordinate details and cost.
