Cecilie Manz’s series of Japanese handmade earthenware for Fritz Hansen Accessories introduces a special glaze, new colours and a new Round vase. The unique glaze and colours truly underline the craftsmanship that defines the Fritz Hansen quality as well as the fascination of and respect for the Japanese ceramics tradition. Like the existing Cecilie Manz earthenware, the new vases are handmade at small potteries in Seto, Japan. They express simple Scandinavian design at its best whilst coming across as warm and welcoming.
The new Tenmoku black with individually appearing Iron marks on the rim emerges during the burning process. It gives both a raw and elegant look – fit for flowers or simply as a decorative sculpture.
Handmade earthenware vase, glazed. Ø12 x H17.5 cm. Made in Seto, Japan
